15th Anniversary- December 2009
On 2nd December 2009 Preston Women’s Refuge celebrated 15 years supporting victims of Domestic Violence. The event took place at St John’s Minster, Church Street.
Many agencies and individuals joined us to celebrate our work and to look at the displays. Speakers included: Dr Aisha Gill, Roehampton University, Chief Superintendent Tim Jacques and Lorraine Norris (Chief Executive of Preston City Council) as well as some of our brave Service users.
Thank you to all those who came along to show their support.
In 15 years our services have grown and we have supported thousands of victims. We will continue to support all victims of Domestic Violence regardless age, class, race, ethnic or religious group, disability, gender, sexuality or lifestyle.
To reflect our many services and the fact we support men, women and children on 2nd December 2009 Preston Women’s Refuge became
‘Preston Domestic Violence Services’
(PDVS)
Thank you!
