Equality & Diversity

Preston Domestic Violence Services exists to support victims of domestic violence and sexual violence, raise awareness of the issue of domestic violence and to provide training to other agencies about domestic violence.

Preston Domestic Violence Services is committed to striving for equality and diversity in the provision of its services to service users and the employment of the staff, volunteers and management committee members who provide these services and contribute to the organisation.

Preston Domestic Violence Services recognises that certain groups in society continue to be discriminated against. Our practices, however, will seek to ensure that all members of staff and all clients are treated equally regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief, sex or sexual orientation (protected characteristics, the Equality Act 2010), trade union activity or irrelevant criminal conviction.
